I’ll be dumping Elementor very soon, it’s been a pain in the arse for a while. It’s time to look at alternatives.

While it was great to quickly design something useable and have it instantly displayed on the site. I think I can do its features via custom JavaScript and CSS. Next question is, do I want to continue with WordPress and have to deal with the weekly attempted break-ins?

With Gutenberg advancing more into theme building as well as posts, we’ll be likely to see other page builders attempt to capitalize on that for their markets with custom blocks and plugins. With it all using code and bits native to WordPress itself, then hopefully that means less bloat too

There is also a block Editor which allows you to design your own blocks visually, This should appear in Gutenberg’s plugin version 10.7, and hopefully, into WordPress core in 5.8 There are some code based methods that work on REACT, so I have no idea how that works. REACT and I don’t get along.

Now, if Publii has Gutenberg’s abilities or block usage, I’d be in there like crazy and makes dumping Elementor so much easier.
